CIA analyst Elizabeth Orr has uncovered a multi-million dollar funnel of money out of Russia to compromise US engineers involved in classified semiconductor research.

College freshman and nascent subatomic physicist Drew Reid shows promise as a potential leader in American semiconductor research, drawing the protection of CIA Director William Kerrigan.   Despite Kerrigan’s precautions, Reid shares his research with his college mates: Jefferson Nash, Russian cello-prodigy Slava Svyetnakov, and the love of their lives, Reis Acres.
